A NEW CYCLIC COUNTING ALGRITHM FOR THE RANDOM CONTACTING FORCES BETWEEN RAILWAY WHEELS AND TRACKS

  • A so-called “concurrent grading and identifying method” is presented for counting the random cyclic contacting forces between railway wheels and tracks. Each group of cyclic load-time data are concurrently graded and identified at the time the data are read into the analysis software. Three considerations are implied. They are the multi-dimensional and multi-point concurrent components of forces with an effort of coupled operation, the possible non-linear material constitutive relation, and the amount of contacting force data more than the capacity of computer entirely reading. The feasibility and availability of the method have been indicated by an analysis of the random cyclic load-time data of Xianfeng high-speed trains on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen railway line. A more complex realistic load spectrum is observed from this analysis.
