FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS ON THE PHRASE TRANSFORMATION PSEUDO-ELASTICITY OF SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY

  • The phrase transformation pseudo-elasticity is one of intelligence functions of shape memory alloy (SMA). Research concerning it can help us take the advantages of the special function of SMA in civil engineering. Based on phrase transformation pseudo-elasticity’s thermo-mechanical equation and solution character included in Brinson’s stress and strain model, a new method for solving the equation has been developed by following steps: first, turn thermo-mechanical equation into difference form; then, solve thermo-mechanical equation and control equation which nest each other through bisection; finally, get the resilience grasp about the transformation pseudo elasticity through finite element analysis program made by the MATLAB software which reflect SMA transformation pseudo-elasticity resilience model.
