PARALLEL COMPUTATION STUDY ON 3D MESO-MECHANICS OF DAM CONCRETE

  • Based on the primary features and existing experimental results of concrete, the dynamic strength and elastic modulus related to strain rate, as well as a bilinear damage evolution model linked to strain are formulated. The static and dynamic nonlinear equations on the principle of virtual work for concrete specimens are set up as well. The codes for the equations and the proposed iteration algorithm according to the grammar rules of the Finite Element Program Generator (FEPG), and the parallel computation program are finally developed on the platform of the Parallel Finite Element Program Generator (PFEPG) system. Three dimension random aggregate and random mechanics parameter model (RAPM) are applied to numerically simulate the fracture processes of rupture test of dam concrete specimens. The presented algorithm and parallel computing program are verified by the comparison between analytical and experimental results.
