FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS FOR RC SHEAR WALL WITH BOUNDARY COLUMNS IN MAIN FACTORY BUILDING OF THE LARGE CAPACITY POWER PLANT

  • Based on pseudo static test, seismic behavior of the RC shear wall with boundary columns in the large capacity power plant’s main factory building has been studied. A multi-vertical-line-element model was proposed for shear wall through macro finite element analysis method. By using this model method in which the vertical spring elements were located at the points of Gaussian integration, hysteretic course, skeleton curve, and ductility characteristic of the shear walls were analyzed. After comparing computing results with test results, a good agreement between them indicates that the proposed multi-vertical-line-element model herein is reasonable and efficient in the nonlinear analysis of shear wall structure.
