  • The load-bearing and anti-slide pile has double function of bearing, the vertical and horizontal load from the superstructure as well as the landslide-thrust from the side of the pile foundation. The mechanical behavior of the pile is much more complex than that of anti-slide pile or simplex inclined-loading pile. Based on the consideration of affecting factors such as the landslide-thrust of slope, the foundation coefficient, the friction resistance of the pile shaft and the dead load of the pile, the effect induced by the load from the top of the pile to inner force and displacement (P- effect) is discussed. The differential equation of the characteristic section of the pile is obtained, then the finite difference solution which fit for the inner force and displacement of the load-bearing and anti-slide pile is proposed. Comparing to the measured data of the model test in laboratory, the calculation result shows that it is feasible for adopting the finite difference solution to analyze the load-bearing and anti-slide pile.
