NATURAL ELEMENT METHOD FOR COMPUTATION OF KIRCHHOFF PLATE BENDING ON TWO-PARAMETER SOIL FOUNDATION

  • Based on Voronoi diagram and Delaunay triangulation, natural element method (NEM) is a meshless method built on natural neighbor interpolation shape function. 1st and 2nd derivatives of Laplace natural neighbor interpolation function are deduced. Then the governing equations of natural element method to deflection solution of Kirchhoff plate bending on two-parameter soil foundation are achieved. Numerical results indicate that the proposed theory and the corresponding program are feasible and effective.
