RESEARCH ON BEHAVIOR OF STEEL REINFORCED CONCRETE (SRC) BEAMS IN FIRE

  • The fiber model method and finite element software ABAQUS are applied to calculate the deformation of steel reinforced concrete (SRC) beams under fire and fire resistance. The fire performance of steel reinforced concrete beams is obtained. Using the fiber model method, influences of the parameters, such as section dimensions, steel ratio, tensile reinforcement ratio, strength of steel section and reinforcement, concrete strength, section depth-to-width ratio and protection thickness of concrete to reinforcement on bearing capacity under fire are analyzed. A simplified model is developed for calculating the fire resistance of steel reinforced concrete beams.
