RESEARCH ON COMPOUND PERTURBATION COEFFICIENTS BETWEEN DISTORTED MODEL AND PROTOTYPE OF LARGE RADIO TELESCOPE

  • The concept and calculation method of compound perturbation coefficients for distorted models synthesizing different distorted factors are proposed. Firstly, the similarity criteria on the LT (Large Radio Telescope) model are defined by the dimension analysis. Secondly, the expressions of perturbation coefficients with distorted masses or distorted sizes are derived respectively. Furthermore the expressions of compound perturbation coefficients with both distorted masses and distorted sizes are deduced. Finally, the cable tensions and the basic natural frequency of the LT prototype are predicted from its distorted model. The comparison between the prediction and the simulation by finite element analysis shows the validity of the prediction given by this paper for the model with manifold distorted factors and large distorted ratios.
