Based on self-designed uniaxial tensile test equipment, a series of reactive powder concrete (RPC) uniaxial tensile tests, Vf =0, Vf =1%, Vf =2% respectively, are completed. In order to solve the stress concentration problem, a dumbbell-shaped specimen combined with variable-thickness copper sheet is used in the test and gains a satisfied effect. The test shows that the tensile failure mode of RPC changed from brittleness to ductility before and after steel fiber being added. The test also reveals that the complete uniaxal tensile stress-strain curve of RPC (Vf =1%, Vf =2%) can be obtained through a universal testing machine without any stiffness-strengthen devices.
