FLIGHT LOADS AND FLUTTER ANLYSIS OF THE JOINED WING AIRCRAFT

  • The analysis of static aeroelastic and flutter characteristics are performed on the traditional wing and the joined wing under the same general design condition. Taking elastic deformation into consideration, this study focuses on the comparative analysis of the aerodynamic load of the two wings under the same lift condition as well as the aerodynamic derivative changing with flight dynamic pressure. It can be concluded that the joined wing has more flexible design space than the traditional wing. The joined wing possesses better bending and torsion stiffness characteristic as well as higher flutter velocity than the traditional wing under the same weight condition. In the case of the elastic deformation, the slope of lift curve of the joined wing increases as the flight dynamic pressure increases and the bending stiffness of the aft wing has certain impact on the gradient of increase.
