EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON ACCELERATING WEATHER EXPOSURE OF ARTIFICIAL BRICKS USING WIND TUNNEL

  • Artificial bricks are widely used in historical conservation buildings. The brick’s resistance to weather exposure in terms of compressive and shearing strength was estimated using wind tunnel in this paper. It was found that the wind load accelerated the artificial brick’s weather exposure under normal use, moreover, the invasion of salinity and the moisture contents lead further deterioration of bricks..
