A RIGID JOINT OF STEEL BEAM-TO-SHEAR WALL FORMED BY CONCRETE-FILLED MULTICELLULAR STEEL TUBES

  • A rigid end-plate joint of I-shaped steel beam-to-shear wall formed by concrete-filled multicellular steel tubes (CF-MCST) was proposed. The design method of the end plate thickness was deduced by the plastic limit analysis method. The reliability of the mechanical properties was verified by the calculation results of 6 specimens under low cyclic repeated loading. The convenience of fabrication, transportation and construction of the joint were verified by a practical engineering demonstration. The results show that the design method can meet the requirements of engineering applications and is safe and reliable.
