LANDSLIDE MONITORING AND ITS STABILIZATION PROCESS BASED ON AN IN-SITU TILT MONITORING SYSTEM

  • Landslide monitoring and post-sliding stabilization processes are the key for understanding the landslide mechanism and its early warning. This paper monitors the post-sliding evolving process of the landsilde of Huangcao lawn in Luding County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. The temporal-spatial changing process of the inclination of the landslide area was monitored through a micro-core pile monitoring system. The stabilization processes in different positions of the landslide showed different specific evolving properties. Therefore, different regions of one landslide event could exhibit different developing mechanisms. However, the post-sliding stabilization processes in all regions of the landslide mass present a common trend with two typical stages. The first stage involves a rapid but decelerated evolution immediately after the instability sliding. It was followed by a stable second stage with almost zero speed. The fitted results showed that the stabilization trend of the landslide can be well described by the Burgers creep model. This implies that the post-sliding stabilization process is analogous to a creep stabilization process. The in-situ monitoring data showed that in areas where the temperature difference between day and night is large, the monitoring results were greatly affected by the temperature difference of the equipment. This temperature difference is a major cause of regular daily fluctuations of the measurement results.
