STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF CLOSED FORM ON WIND LOAD OF LONG-SPAN COAL SHED

  • A coal shed is a wind-sensitive structure for the sake of its characteristics of a long span, large flexibility and small damping. The study on wind load is of important engineering significance. In this paper, a rigid model manometry test was conducted to analyze the influence of the wind direction angle on the shape coefficients and the extreme wind pressure coefficients of typical measurement points and blocks. And the influences of the enclosed state (both ends of the gable) and the semi-closed state (one end gable) on shape coefficients and extreme wind pressure coefficients were studied. The results show that internal pressure will influence the wind pressure distribution more remarkably in a semi-closed state. And when the opening is in the windward area, the internal pressure is positive. when the opening is in the leeward zone, the internal pressure is negative, which easily causes a main wind load to generate a large torque in some wind direction angles, may resulting in the increase of a extreme wind load in the block area at the same time.
