EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE OBLIQUE SECTION SHEAR CAPACITY OF PARTIALLY PREFABRICATED STEEL REINFORCED CONCRETE (PPSRC) MEMBERS

  • To study the shear capacity of partially prefabricated steel reinforced concrete (PPSRC) members, static loading tests of seven PPSRC specimens were designed and carried out in this study. The effects of the shear span ratio, the strength of cast-in-place inner concrete, and the section shape on the shear behavior of the PPSRC members were investigated. Furthermore, the failure mechanism and shear capacity of PPSRC members were studied by analyzing the failure progress and the curves of shear force versus both displacement and strain. According to the test results, the main factors affecting the shear capacity of PPSRC members were analyzed, and the oblique section shear capacities of PPSRC members were proposed using the superposition method. The experimental results showed that the failure patterns of the oblique section of the PPSRC members included diagonal compression failure and shear compression failure. Moreover, prefabricated concrete and cast-in-place inner concrete of members combined completely. The formula for calculating the shear capacity lays a solid foundation for the design of PPSRC members.
