TEST RESEARCH OF IMPACT LOAD FROM PUMP PIPE DURING CONCRETE PLACEMENT

  • Impact load caused by pump pipe hitting deck placer in terms of reciprocating motion subjects the falsework to horizontal dynamic forces. Currently, we do not know much about this kind of load. Based on the investigation results at 18 construction sites, the reciprocating motions of the pump pipes in three construction sites were recorded and the characteristics of the pipe movement were obtained. According to the d'Alembert's Principle, estimation formula of the impact load was given. The acceleration and relative displacement of deck placer were measured, and the interval value of the impact force was estimated. The research results in this paper lay foundation for the estimation of horizontal dynamic load on top of the falsework.
