RESEARCH ON THE SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF CONNECTIONS BETWEEN PC PANELS AND SHEAR WALL STRUCTURES

  • Quasi-static tests on four single-story coupled shear walls were conducted to study the behavior of different connections between precast concrete (PC) panels and shear wall structures. Based on a comparative study of loading process and failure modes of the specimens, the mechanical performance and seismic behavior of connections between shear wall structures and exterior cladding panels were studied. Then, the connections between cladding panels and shear walls were analyzed. In addition, shear tests and analyses based on ABAQUS were conducted to optimize the behavior of the separating material. The study shows that the behavior of cladding panels with separating material and limiting devices was better than that of other types. Optimized separating material can reduce the number of cracks and has positive influence on the seismic performance of the structure.
