FATIGUE LIFE PREDICTION AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON A COMPRESSOR ROTARY TABLE OF A TYPE OF AIRCRAFT ENGINE BY STRESS FIELD INTENSITY METHOD

  • The fatigue life of a compressor rotary table of a type of aircraft engine was assessed by the stress field intensity method, and some steps such as how to determine the size of field radius, stress field fitting and calculation of stress field intensity factor, were discussed in details. The fatigue life experiment based on a full size rotary table was carried out. The experiment result shown that the fatigue life prediction result given by the stress field intensity method had high accuracy, which was obviously superior to that of the conventional normal stress method.
