STIFFNESS RATIO CALCULATION METHOD RESEARCH FOR PRESTRESSED WIRE-WOUND ORTHOGONAL PRELOAD FRAME

  • Stiffness Ratio is an important parameter for a prestressed wire-wound frame in analyzing wire theory tension in wire-wound technique, in the force and deformation conditions, and in the state of the synthesis and fatigue strength. However, a prestressed wire-wound orthogonal preload frame column is composed of two trapezoids and one sector, it is thusly difficult to solve the stiffness ratio of a prestressed wire-wound orthogonal preload frame by using analytical methods. Focus on this problem, we propose a finite element method to calculate the stiffness ratio, and optimize the finite element method by the comparison with the classical analytical method and the finite element method of the ordinary pre-stressed wire-wound frame. We use the wire-wound technology experiment of 40MN multi-ram forging hydraulic press to verify the feasibility of the finite element method to calculate a stiffness ratio. The result of experiment proves that the average actual preloaded force of a frame column section, which was obtained with the stiffness ratio by the finite element method, is close to its theoretical value. Further, the result proves the stiffness ratio can completely meet the practical demand of engineering.
