RESEARCH ON CALCULATION METHOD OF DEFORMATION CAPACITY OF REINFORCED CONCRETE SHEAR WALL

  • In order to determine the deformation indicators of reinforced concrete shear walls, this paper presents a model of shear wall deformation capacity in considering the component aspect ratio, the stirrup characteristic value, the axial load ratio and the nonlinear shear deformation of shear walls. The model consists of a tension zone, a compression zone and a rigid zone, called a tension -pressure-zone model. The calculation model is used for the deformation calculation of 12 shear wall members in two groups, and the calculated values and experimental values are compared and analyzed. The results show that there is a good agreement between the theoretical and experimental values for the vertex ultimate displacement, the ultimate rotation, the ultimate curvature and vertex cracking displacement, the yield displacement and displacement ductility factor. The comparison results demonstrate the validity of the model.
