Abstract
T-stub connected semi-rigid joints between rectangular steel tube columns and H-shaped steel beams are a type of joint using high-strength bolts. This type of joint has many advantages, such as high rigidity and load-carrying capacity, good ductility, easy fabrication and low cost. Based on the study of analytic parameters under monotonic loading, the hysteretic behavior of the T-stub joints were analyzed using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The dimensions of T-stub and beam are considered as parameters to discuss the hysteretic behavior of the joint. The analysis shows that the length of T-stub webs and the height of beam greatly affect the performance of the joint. The research results indicate that this type of joint is semi-rigid.
