APPLICATION STUDY ON CYCLIC CONSTITUTIVE MODEL OF STEEL

  • In order to verify the applicability and universality of a steel cyclic constitutive model, the domestic and abroad typical tests of both material and members were adopted, including low cycle fatigue tests of material, steel member test, steel and composite connection tests under cyclic loading pattern. Hysteretic characters significantly affect the aseismic behaviours by comparing the results of the proposed model and a bilinear model, which should be paid more attention on structure design. Base on the verified model, a ten floor frame was established, which proved the applicability of the proposed model for time history analysis under real earthquake waves. The proposed model provided a powerful tool for the aseismic analysis of a steel structure.
