EARTHQUAKE SIMULATION TEST ON MID-RISE RECYCLED CONCRETE SHEAR WALLS WITH CONCEALED BRACINGS

  • To analyze the effect of concealed bracings to the seismic performance of mid-rise recycled concrete shear walls, the shaking table tests of three models of RC shear wall, including one natural aggregate concrete shear wall and two recycled aggregate concrete shear walls with or without concealed bracings, were carried out. The dynamic characteristic, dynamic response of acceleration as well as displacement, and failure patterns of three models at different stages were measured and compared. The test results show that the roof drift of a recycled concrete shear wall with conceal bracings was much smaller than that of the recycled concrete shear wall without conceal bracings. And the energy dissipation ability was obviously improved.
