Abstract:
A circular steel tube composite column filled with steel reinforced concrete is a new type of structures on the basis of concrete filled steel tubular structures, in the column of which, four angle steels are placed, instead of longitudinal reinforcements. Because of the synergistic effect of concrete, steel tube and angle steel, the deformation ability and ultimate bearing capacity of the column are raised; thereby it has more excellent mechanical performance than that of a concrete filled steel tubular structure. The shear bearing capacity of a circular steel tube composite column filled with steel reinforced concrete is analyzed by the large finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The results show that, with the decrease of the shear span ratio, the ultimate bearing capacity is raised but the deformation capacity is weakened, brittlely failed gradually.
