Abstract:
As an advanced 3D image analysis method, digital volume correlation (DVC) technology can achieve high-precision 3D full-field displacement and strain measurement inside objects. The basic theory, basic principle and methods of DVC technology are introduced. Combined with the relevant research at home and abroad, the progress of DVC core algorithm and optimization strategy is discussed in detail. The application of DVC technology to material science, experimental mechanics, biomedicine, rock mechanics and other fields is reviewed. The research shows that DVC technology has unique advantages in handling complex samples and coping with harsh conditions. The challenges and future development direction of DVC technology are summarized, and it is pointed out that it has great potential in integrating machine learning technology to improve algorithm performance. The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive perspective on current development and future prospects of DVC technology for researchers and application staff.
