Abstract:
CBF (Continuous Basalt Fiber) Mesh Reinforced Brick Masonry is kind of collaborating brick masonry with a new masonry structure, which laid CBF cloth stripes between mortar layers in accordance with a specific structure. This paper studies the axial compression test through 8 groups of reinforced brick masonry specimen of 5 different horizontal fiber rates and 3 vertical fiber layer forms. The preliminary test results show that: CBF Mesh Reinforced Brick Masonry has a good reserve of strength, and the ductility and axial compressive strength have been improved significantly, comparing to the unreinforced brick masonry. The failure modes of the specimen and the stress mechanism are analyzed, and the influence on masonry compressive properties of horizontal fiber ratios and that of vertical fiber layer structures is compared. Finally, the calculation formula of the axis bearing capacity of CBF Mesh Reinforced Brick Masonry by regression analysis of test data is conducted.
